Birthdays

Children love to celebrate their birthday at school with friends. If you wish to send a treat, please be sure to provide for 13 students. Easily dividable items such as cupcakes and cookies work best. If your child has a summer birthday, we will plan to celebrate at the end of the year or on their 'half birthday'. When inviting students to a party, please do not send the invitations to school for distribution. This will prevent anyone from feeling left out. Please mail invitations directly to students' homes.

Your child will receive the Birthday Bag on or near their birthday. There are a few birthday books and a journal inside. Enjoy the birthday books with your birthday girl and please have her write (pretend write or invented spelling), illustrate about her birthday and return the bag to school. We would like to share the journal entry with the class..
